Over 250 employees are there for you at 26 locations in Germany and our central warehouse in Reinsdorf. For us, the customer's wishes are at the centre of a sustainably developed lighting solution. We provide personalised, comprehensive and needs-based advice on all aspects of lighting and lighting design. Our expertise and close industry contacts guarantee uncompromising lighting quality. We attach great importance to the quality of our products and lighting solutions - we aim to provide the highest quality of service for your projects throughout all project phases.
We are in close contact with our suppliers and attend intensive product training courses to gain a precise insight into the production, technical details and quality of the products we offer.
We emphasise expert advice and service at every step of the way: our field service is directly connected to a contact person in the office, so we can respond to your requests and concerns in no time at all. In project support, we look after you through all project phases, from the initial consultation to the joint visit to the construction site. We can subsequently provide you with enquiries and quotations in GAEB format.

40 Years Expertise in light (Kompetenz in Licht)
In May 1983, Rudolf Thurner founded "LICHT Zentrale" on 300 square metres as a wholesale and retail business for lighting fixtures, which was later expanded to include electrical installation materials. In 2004, "LICHT Zentrale Thurner GmbH" was taken over by the Würth Group and has since been part of the Electrical Wholesale business unit within the Group.
In 2005, the strategic decision was made to concentrate exclusively on the sale of lights and illuminants in order to focus the profile and market presence of "LICHT Zentrale" as a lighting specialist. The company is therefore renamed LICHTZENTRALE Lichtgroßhandel GmbH in 2006. The company's headquarters were moved from Nuremberg to Ansbach. Since then, we have enjoyed steady growth.
The milestones of recent years:
2007
Opening of the Regensburg branch.
2008
Opening of the Bensheim branch.
2010
Takeover of the Ansbach Light Centre, whose warehouse space expands the central warehouse in Reinsdorf, and opening of the Ulm branch.
2011
Establishment of the "Architectural Lighting Design" department. It is staffed with experts from the fields of lighting design and architecture, who contribute their expertise to the planning process of projects at an early stage.
Start of the structural expansion of the central warehouse in Reinsdorf to double storage capacity.
2012
Opening of the Rosenheim and Schweinfurt branches, expansion of service coverage in northern Bavaria.
2013
LICHTZENTRALE welcomes its 150th employee and breaks the 100 million euro turnover mark.
2014
Modernisation of the brand identity and relaunch of the LICHTZENTRALE logo.
2015
LICHTZENTRALE Academy for training and further education founded.
Relocation of the Munich branch in December.
2016
Completion of the expansion at the central warehouse in Reinsdorf / Zwickau.
2017
New image film "Lichtverliebt" and relaunch of the online shop.
Relocation of the Schweinfurt and Fulda branches in December.
2018
Relaunch of the LICHTZENTRALE homepage.
Opening of the Dresden East and Frankfurt branches.
2019
We welcome our 200th employee.
2020
Opening of the Heilbronn branch and relocation of the Bensheim branch to Heppenheim.

Opening of the Würzburg and Bochum branches.
